Culler Sloop Boat. 17’ 8" LOA by 5" Beam, 1 1/2" Draft w/ board up, 3" board down. Weighs 1200 lbs, of which 300 is inside ballast. Ballast removed for trailering so it doesn’t blow the garboards out. Trailer not included, but I can deliver within 100 miles of Port Townsend. 3/8" lapstrake mahogany ply on bent oak frames. Unstayed knockabout sloop rig. Small jib, like a catboat with a blade.
Sailable as is, but needs work. Some of rot on port side deck amidships. Bow toe rails are damaged, small spot of delamination on the starboard side of the centerboard case. Case cap has some rot. Main thwart split, but it doesn’t affect the structure, I wouldn’t replace it without pulling the deck. Upper guard at the sheer has some rot. The varnish has peeled off the mast. Boat has been dry stored the since 2011. Will probably leak a bit on the port side when re-launched, that’s the side that faced the afternoon sun. Should take up in a few days or a week.
Obviously this should go to someone who knows what they’re doing. I have no shop, no money, and recent major surgery. I love this boat, and I’ve learned a lot, but it’s time for her to have a second life with someone who can appreciate her.
