Meet Mouse, a 14’ Gunter Yawl, 22’ Overall
In order to finish building my next dreamboat, the Gunter yawl I completed in 2024, Mouse, is for sale. The beamy, fast, glued-lapstrake hull (6’ 6” beam, 14’ on deck, 22’ overall including bowsprit and boomkin), has creamy Oceanis sails by legendary Schattauer Sails of Seattle, along with 9’ 6” Sitka spruce oars, vintage bronze hardware throughout, galvanized EZ Loader trailer with new tires and bearings, new Suzuki 2.5 four-stroke kicker motor, and a design inspired by late-1800’s British beach boats. (The hull is similar to the Francois Vivier ILUR design, but 6 inches beamier.) Room to sleep comfortably on both sides of the centerboard trunk. A great little camp cruiser, with one-of-a-kind design.
