S/V Chloe is a 26’ Nordic Folkboat launched in 1960. Originally mahogany planked, she was replanked with Alaskan yellow cedar in the 1980’s. Her deck was later rebuilt, and a self-bailing cockpit added. Brandt Faatz purchased Chloe in 2019 from The Center for Wooden Boats in Seattle, where he served as Executive Director from 2016 to 2020. Chloe was sound but weathered. Brandt repainted her hull, refinished her mast and most of her exterior brightwork. The remaining brightwork and canvas deck are next on the project list.
Brandt relocated to Port Townsend in late 2020. A sailor since the mid-1980’s, he is preparing to turn left in his cruising boat, S/V Priya. Chloe will remain in Port Townsend as a day sailor and pocket cruiser, while Priya plies the warm waters of the tropics.
