Boston Ship Chandler's Whitehall
This historic Whitehall was designed by the noted author / historian Howard Chapelle, and featured in his book “American Small Sailing Craft”.
Our Whitehall is length 16’- 3”, and beam 4’-4”.
It was built in 1985 by Shew and Burnham in South Bristol Maine. Construction is traditional throughout; white oak keel and frames, mahogany transom and milled sheer strake, Spanish cedar planking. Oars are 7’- 6” by Shaw and Tenny.
Boat’s history includes a restoration by Tom Regan at Grapeview Point Boat Works in 2014, and thorough renovation by owner in 2024.
Boat is in excellent restored “show” condition.
